The Number One HR Solution on Salesforce

Signed Performance Reviews and Faster Shift Planning

November 2, 2026

Performance reviews that end with a clear sign-off

HR can mark any question that both the employee and the reviewer answer with Require resolution before signing. The reviewer cannot complete the review until they have written a closing comment there, and the employee cannot sign until they have added theirs. When employees sign, they tick I have read and understood this review, and the signed review keeps that confirmation with its date, including in the PDF. Once a review is signed or completed, its answers, comments and goals are locked.

Submitted self-assessments are locked. HR can send one back to the employee before the reviewer submits, or close open ones so reviewers are not left waiting. Each question can now be worded for who is answering, for example "What are your goals?" in the self-assessment and "What are Oleg's goals?" for the manager, and questions, hints, answer options and section names can be translated into every Hub language. In the Reviewers step of a cycle, HR decides whether employees see peer comments (never names or ratings) and whether the reviewer sees peer ratings or only what peers wrote.

Key highlights:

  • Required closing comments on chosen questions, set in the cycle's questionnaire
  • Read-and-understood confirmation on signing, and locked reviews once signed or completed
  • Send back or close self-assessments, with the employee notified by email
  • Question wording per role and full translation of the questionnaire

A shift planner built for long plans and big teams

The shift planner now has a 6 Months period and a Year period, from 1 January to 31 December, so seasonal and annual plans fit on one board. Copying shifts works from any date range to any start date: you can repeat the copy several times, pick departments and shift types, and check a review that shows which day lands on which before anything is saved.

For day-to-day edits, right-click a shift to copy it and paste it onto another employee or day. Select several shifts with a checkbox, Ctrl or Cmd+click, or by dragging a box, then move or delete them together. Deleting by date range, location, weekday or employee shows a week grid of what goes and what stays first, and published shifts are only included when you choose them. After any change, a short message says what was saved and, for draft shifts, offers Undo for a few seconds. Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac) does the same. Display options let each planner hide employees who are away for the whole period.

Key highlights:

  • 6 Months and Year views on one board
  • Copy from any date range, with repeats and a review step before saving
  • Copy and paste, multi-select, move and bulk delete with a preview
  • Undo for draft shifts and per-planner display options

More Improvements This Month

Expenses: receipt scanning for everyone and German per diem rules

Receipt scanning is now included for every company using Expenses: when an employee uploads a receipt, flair reads the merchant, date, line items and VAT, with no add-on needed for receipts up to 4 MB. Per diem claims follow the German rules for provided meals, deducting 20% for breakfast and 40% each for lunch and dinner, and trips abroad use the destination country's official rate. Employees hear when an expense is approved, declined or reimbursed, and managers can get new claims in Slack. A declined or still-pending expense can be corrected and resubmitted, and admins can cap how many expenses of a category an employee submits per day. Per diem rules need an active rules template with a daily rate. Learn more about per diem rules →

Compensation reviews you can hand over

HR can reassign a compensation review that is still being prepared, and HR or the assessing manager can delegate one to a colleague who prepares and submits it on their behalf, with access to the salaries moving along. Budgets can be split by headcount as well as by salary spend, with a reserve for the top manager, who can move budget between teams in the Employee Hub until each team submits. A new Employee hierarchy approval type sends a request up the management line level by level, and an Approval Path button shows who has approved so far. Learn more about compensation reviews →

Employees can see their own pay

With Show My Pay switched on, employees get a My pay tab in the Employee Hub with their current pay, upcoming changes and history, and how their base salary compares with the average and median for women and men in their worker category. Figures only appear when at least six women and six men are in the group, and you can limit the comparison to the employee's own legal entity. On Equity Audits, a new chart shows how each worker category's pay gap changes from one analysis to the next, and the Budgets overview shows monthly pay cost by department. Equity audits are now visible only to people allowed to see individual salaries, with a new Flair Pay Transparency Manager permission set for those who run them. Learn more about pay transparency →

Recruiting: a Candidate Hub and messages beyond email

Career portals can offer an optional Candidate Hub, where candidates sign in with a one-time email link to follow their applications, upload documents, update their profile and join your talent pool. Admins switch it on per portal. Recruiters with advanced recruiting can also connect their own LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Instagram and email accounts, so candidate conversations land in the activity timeline and replies go out from there. An admin connects the Messaging Channels integration first. Learn more about candidate management →

German labour law audit

The Compliance tab now checks your organisation against German labour law, covering working time, rest periods and breaks, minimum vacation, youth protection, minimum wage including sector wages, fixed-term contracts, maternity protection and the severe-disability quota. Every finding links to the law and to the record to fix, and can be dismissed with a reason such as a collective agreement. Admins set the country on legal entities and classify absence and document categories before the first run. Learn more about the labour law audit →

A step-by-step absence request

Requesting an absence in the Employee Hub now happens in three steps: type, days and details. The calendar and your request sit side by side, with the total and remaining balance in view, and the calendar shows which teammates are away. While it is introduced, employees can choose to keep the previous form. Learn more about absence requests →

Chat in the mobile app

Chat from the Employee Hub is now in the flair mobile app too. Employees can start direct or group chats, edit and delete messages and manage group members. A dashboard card shows unread conversations, push notifications open the chat directly, and messages written offline are sent once the phone reconnects. It needs the latest app version.
