An assistant your employees can just ask
For organisations on a paid flair AI plan, the flair assistant can now be switched on in the Employee Hub. Once it is enabled, employees press ⌘K, or click Assistant in the top navigation, and ask a question the way they would ask a colleague. It answers from their own data, covering absences, time tracking, expenses, documents, shifts, goals and their team, as well as from your company policy documents, and shows the sources it used so the answer can be checked. It can also find colleagues by skill, matching on meaning rather than exact spelling.
Key highlights:
- Employees ask in natural language from anywhere in the Hub (⌘K on macOS, Ctrl+K on Windows)
- Answers drawn from their own HR data and your company's policy documents, with sources cited
- Result cards for data questions, and linked pages for policy and how-to questions
The assistant requires a paid flair AI plan and is switched on per organisation. Talk to us about enabling it →
Employees cash out their own overtime
Accrued overtime used to mean an email to HR and a manual correction in Salesforce. Now employees do it themselves. From the dashboard or from Time Tracking, they choose how much of their balance to withdraw and whether it becomes monetary compensation or an absence allowance, from whichever destinations you allow. You keep control of the terms. Conversion and payout rates are set per time framework, and employee withdrawal stays off until you enable it.
Automatic withdrawal has grown as well. It can now pay out as money rather than only as time off, at a fixed rate, at the overtime rate, or at the employee's own hourly salary. And if your workforce is mixed, you can now price a conversion from each employee's own contracted day length instead of one fixed number of minutes. Switch Conversion Basis to "Employee working schedule" on the time framework, and give each workload a Full Day Duration.
Key highlights:
- Employees withdraw from their own balance in the Hub, into monetary compensation or an absence allowance
- Rates set per time framework, and employee withdrawal is off until you turn it on
- Automatic withdrawal can pay out as money, at a fixed rate, the overtime rate, or the hourly salary
- Optional Conversion Basis setting prices time off from each employee's contracted day length

More Improvements This Month
Sick leave that isn't all or nothing
An employee signed off at 60% is no longer a rounding problem. HR can record an absence as a percentage of working time in Salesforce, matching Swiss partial sick leave (Teilkrankschreibung). Daily target hours drop proportionally for the days it covers. Turn on Allow Percentage Absences on a daily absence category to use it, and optionally Block Overtime so those days stop accruing overtime.
A clearer view of absences in Salesforce
The absences calendar has been rebuilt around a two-tier filter bar, with employee names that stay in place as you scroll and four zoom levels: Month, Quarter, Half-year and Yearly. Filtering and loading now happen on the server, so large teams stay quick. Click any absence and a side panel opens with the details, the full approval path, the balances and the comments, and approvers can approve or reject from there. Learn more about absence management →
Candidates who don't meet the basics are rejected automatically
Mark any application field or custom question as a knock-out criterion with a condition, such as an expected salary above your range or no work permit. Applicants who fail it move to Rejected roughly ten minutes after applying, with no flow to build. Configure it per career portal or per job. Until you set criteria, nothing changes. Recruiters can also now filter a job's candidates by stage, tags or source from dropdowns above the table, and save those filters into a view.
Direct Apply on the job boards
When you advertise through flair's job-board marketplace, candidates can now apply on the board itself instead of being sent to a separate form, which loses fewer of them between interest and application. Direct Apply is activated per board by your account manager, so talk to us about the boards you advertise with. Learn more about jobs →
Payroll runs that schedule themselves
Payroll teams can set up automatic weekly, biweekly or monthly runs per payroll territory. Missed periods generate themselves without creating duplicates, and you choose what completing a run does: leave the items untouched, mark them reviewed, or require every item to be reviewed first. Separately, where a payroll territory has Time Type Rates configured, runs now add pay lines for hours worked under those types on their own, applying the right multiplier on top of base pay.
Documents stay where you put them
Approved documents can no longer be deleted by employees, and that one needs no setup. Five new settings also let you stop employees moving or renaming approved documents and reorganising their folders, applied company-wide or scoped to an entity, department or location. All five are off by default. Mass document upload can now rename each file from that employee's own record fields, using a naming formula you write once, so a batch arrives under real names instead of file.pdf.
See who matches a project before you staff it
Add the skills a project requires, and the Matching Employees view scores each person against them, showing their level next to the level the project needs alongside an overall match score. It was already in Salesforce, and this month it arrives in the Employee Hub, so project leads can staff from the same place they run everything else. Learn more about skills →
Compensation reviews that track the budget
Once a review is executed, its new salaries are linked back to the funding budget, so Actual Spend and Available Amount update themselves and the budget's status moves to Depleted when it runs out. Reverting a review gives the amount back. During a review, hovering an employee's current salary shows how their pay developed over time, with dates and the percentage change at each step. Managers can also apply a fixed raise amount across a review, converted automatically into each employee's currency and pay frequency. Learn more about compensation reviews →
Smaller Updates & Fixes
- Time Tracking: Weekly and monthly timesheet totals now show calculated worked time, so the total matches the days it summarises.
- Time Tracking: The long-day warning now follows the maximum daily working time you configured, rather than a fixed ten hours. If you have not set one, the warning no longer appears, so set a maximum in Time Limit Settings to keep it.
- Time Tracking: Employees can remove a break entirely in a time entry change request, not only shorten it.
- Absence Management: Absence categories can offer an optional document upload, so a sick note can be attached without being mandatory, or added later.
- Absence Management: Approvers see the reason an employee selected next to the category, in the request list and in the details.
- Absence Management: Vacation balances follow an employee's own anniversary leave year instead of January to December.
- Absence Management: A new Amount Unit on absence categories can store balances in minutes, for short appointments that should not cost half a day. Choose it when you create the category, as it locks once the category has allowances.
- Recruiting: Jobs now send the standardised values boards like LinkedIn require, and the advertising panel separates what blocks publishing from what only narrows reach.
- Recruiting: Word documents preview inline across the Hub, candidate CVs included, instead of forcing a download.
- Settings: Locations and departments can be marked inactive. They stay on existing records but drop out of every dropdown and filter.
- Settings: HR Admin has a dedicated Request Forms tab with five ready-made templates in English and German, and employees can filter the Hub request list by category.
- Settings: Alert rules can be limited to specific entities, locations or departments, and can now trigger on absences.
- Shift Planning: Schedulers can be created from ready-made examples or from your own saved template, and the planner board can group by any employee attribute.
- Employee Hub: Several hundred more Hub strings were translated or corrected across German, French and five other languages, including absence requests, time-tracking warnings and the skills directory.
